Don't mind the cat, he's weird

Summer was here tonight. It stopped in with some dusky light--what is that called? Not the gloaming, right. I think that's right after the sun sets. This is right before. Perfect for eating some currants off the plant, getting your kit off, and going for an evening drive. You know. Those evenings.

This summer has been way too busy for me. So many trips! A class to teach at the last minute! Visitors! Bah. Not my normal, you know, PACE. But there are moments. There are mudpies. And sandcastles. And scooters. Always.

And don't worry, my sweet boy, this cat has been looking at me like that for 14 years.

Hugo looks great and healthy and happy. The cat looks bemused. Never saw a naked boy on a scooter before, probably. Enjoy your summer very much, it seems to fly by. I can't stop it from going so fast, can you?

What's better than a summer spent eating berries, playing with mud and riding "al fresco" (as it's known by the grand daughter here) in the wee hours of the evening...plus having a furry audience to boot.
Sigh...he's adorable. (Hugo, that is.)

Have never eaten a currant off the plant. Or seen, even.

I have an idea. Let's switch houses for about a week. Or month.

It's hot as hades down here and not looking like relief until January.

Dude, summer has been visiting me for the past couple of months, and might I add that it totally hijacked my blog! I'm glad you and your family are enjoying yourselves . . .

This is a funny site that you have here. I look forward to reading some more posts in the future. I have a humor blog as well. We should exchange. Let me know what you think.
